Walk And Talk Therapy

walk and talk therapy
You like to walk. You feel more comfortable outside than you would in an office or staring at a screen. Maybe you want to bring your dog to your session. I have a good option for you.

I offer outdoor walk and talk therapy to give you the opportunity to feel the combination of physical movement, the benefit of being outdoors, and the natural feel and flow of an open conversation while walking together. We will talk while walking outdoors, rather than sitting face to face in the office or online. These sessions naturally feel more casual, comfortable, and contribute to feelings of ease. This often leads to more relaxed conversation, insight, and clarity.

This environment can make it easier for you to:

  • relax into the session
  • take deep breaths
  • release physical tension
  • feel comfortable to pause and gather your thoughts, without the sensation of being observed
  • practice mindfulness
  • increase circulation and activity in your day
  • clear your mind by opening your awareness to nature
  • bring your dog to your session if you like

We will discuss and evaluate your goals just as we would in other sessions, but many clients find this setting much more relaxed. We can also use meditation and mindfulness exercises in an outdoor setting. This will increase your feelings of relaxation, balance, and grounding.

Walk and talk sessions typically take place in parks or friendly stretches of road in the Roswell or Norcross area. If you have other locations in mind, just ask and I will accommodate your location if scheduling permits. We will need to have at least one “get to know you” in office or online session prior to scheduling a walk and talk session.

I am happy to answer any questions or address any concerns you have about walk and talk therapy prior to booking this type of session. Contact me to get more information on the walk and talk therapy option or to schedule an assessment and get started on your path.
