LGBTQ+ Concerns

LGBT therapy

Looking for a therapist you can relate to? Someone who “gets” you and what you are going through? I see clients who are members of the LGBTQ+ community for a variety of concerns. Some of the reasons I treat LGBTQ+ clients are specific to our community. Others are more general concerns that frequently impact LGBTQ+ people. Maybe you are struggling to find the confidence to be yourself. Maybe you are having difficulty deciding what that even means. We can work through those thoughts and feelings together. Other concerns can include low self esteem, worry, sadness, or problems with a relationship or substance.

Whatever is going on that is stressing you out, your comfort level is an important part of getting good results from your therapy sessions. Working with a therapist who does not view the world from a heteronormative perspective will assist you in feeling free to be yourself. This will lead to feeling seen and heard. I enthusiastically welcome all identities. I value and practice respect and compassion.
